01 Why automate

More capacity from the team you already have.

Robotics and industrial automation take on the repetitive, physical and round-the-clock work, so your people can focus on the work that needs their judgement.

  • Output no longer tied to headcount
  • Less reliance on hard-to-fill roles
  • Consistent quality on every shift
  • Safer, less physically demanding work
  • 20,000+Suppliers
  • 5m+Industrial robots operating today
  • $2.5TIndustry by 2035

02 Our role

One partner between you and the market

A full automation programme involves multiple vendors, disconnected systems and unclear accountability.

Adega acts as an independent partner, with access to 20,000+ vendors, bringing the right technologies together into one coordinated solution.

Without an integratorYou coordinate every supplier yourself
Without an integrator: your team manages separate relationships with five suppliers, with gaps between them. Vendor Vendor Vendor Vendor Vendor Your team ???

04 How we work

From operational problem to working system

Four clear stages. You can engage us for one or all of them — most clients start with discovery, because it answers the most important question first: is this worth doing?

  1. 01

    Discover

We visit your site, map your processes and look at the data to understand how the operation really runs.

    • Operational & facility review
    • Process analysis
    • Opportunities identified and prioritised
    • Outline costs and return on investment

You get A clear view of what is worth automating — and what isn’t.

  2. 02

    Design

We design the solution around your process, from robots to conveyors and controls, then find the right technology and suppliers.

    • Solution architecture
    • Technology selection
    • Vendor identification & evaluation
    • Phased automation roadmap

You get A costed design and roadmap you can take to the board.

  3. 03

    Deliver

We manage procurement and bring equipment from multiple vendors together into one system that works.

    • Procurement & supplier management
    • Integration across makers, including controls
    • Installation & commissioning
    • Testing, handover & training

You get A live system, delivered with minimal disruption to operations.

  4. 04

    Support

We stay responsible after go-live, keeping the whole system running and improving over time.

    • Maintenance & servicing
    • Whole-system support
    • Performance reviews
    • Planning the next phase

You get One partner to call — whichever vendor’s equipment is involved.

05 Services

Everything needed to make robotics and automation work

From the first strategic question to the last service visit. Use us for a single piece of work or the whole programme.

A Strategy & discovery

Automation strategy
Where automation fits your business goals, and where it doesn’t.
Operational & facility discovery
On-site assessment of layout, flows, people and constraints.
Process analysis
Detailed mapping of the processes under consideration.
Opportunity identification
A prioritised list of what is worth automating, with the business case.
Automation roadmapping
A phased plan that builds value step by step.

B Design & sourcing

Solution architecture
How the equipment, software and people fit together.
Technology selection
The right type of technology for each task — chosen, not assumed.
Vendor identification & evaluation
Independent assessment of suppliers across the market.
Controls and systems design
How PLCs, SCADA and your MES, WMS or ERP connect, so information and orders flow without re-keying.
Procurement
Specifications, tenders, negotiation and contracts, managed for you.

C Delivery & lifecycle

Multi-vendor system integration
Making equipment from different manufacturers work as one.
Installation & commissioning
Planned around your operation to keep disruption low.
Maintenance & servicing
Planned and reactive care for the whole system.
Ongoing support
One point of contact, long after go-live.

06 Why independent

Why not go straight to a manufacturer?

Manufacturers are often excellent at what they make. But each one will naturally recommend its own products — and few will take responsibility for equipment they didn’t supply. Independence means our only job is to get you the right result.

07 Who we help

Wherever you’re starting from

You don’t need to know anything about robotics or automation to talk to us. Start from a project or from a problem.

Path A

“We know what we want to automate.”

You have a process or project in mind. We’ll test the idea, specify it properly, find the best suppliers and deliver it — integrated with everything else on site.

  • Validate the idea
  • Specify it properly
  • Source the best suppliers
  • Integrate & deliver
Discuss a project

Path B

“We have an operational challenge.”

You may not know whether automation is the answer. Start with the problem — we’ll work out what will genuinely help.

  • Rising labour costs
  • Hard-to-fill roles
  • Output capped by shifts
  • Quality & rework
  • Manual handling & injuries
  • Downtime & visibility

Industries we work in

Examples, not a fixed list. If yours isn’t here, start with the problem.

  • Manufacturing and engineering

Machine tending, welding, assembly and palletising.

  • Food, drink and consumer goods

Picking, packing, palletising and packaging lines.

  • Warehousing, logistics and fulfilment

Mobile robots, automated storage, conveyors and sortation.

  • Pharmaceuticals and life sciences

Sample handling, inspection and serialisation checks.

  • Agriculture and horticulture

Grading, packing and palletising in packhouses and glasshouses.

How we keep advice sound

We write down what we learn, so every recommendation builds on it

We keep a structured record of what we learn about processes, technologies, suppliers and how equipment performs once it’s running, and we draw on it every time we make a recommendation. That way our advice builds over time rather than starting from scratch.

08 FAQs

Straight answers

Can’t see your question? Ask us directly.

Do you sell robots or automation equipment?

We are not a manufacturer and we don’t push a product range. Where it helps, we manage procurement on your behalf — but the technology is always chosen on merit, to suit your operation.

What’s the difference between robotics and industrial automation?

Robotics usually means machines that handle or move things themselves, such as robot arms, collaborative robots (cobots) and mobile robots. Industrial automation is the wider picture: conveyors, automated storage, packaging machinery, and the controls, sensors and software that run a line or a whole site. Most sites need a mix of the two, so we plan them together.

What if robotics or automation isn’t the right answer?

Then we’ll tell you. Sometimes a process change, layout change or simpler equipment delivers more value. Our job is to solve the operational problem, not to sell automation for its own sake.

Can you work with equipment and systems we already have?

Yes. Most sites already run a mix of equipment, controls and software, such as PLCs, SCADA, and warehouse, manufacturing or business systems (WMS, MES, ERP). Connecting new automation to what’s already there, and making better use of it, is a core part of what we do.

Do we need a technical team to work with you?

No. We work with operations, engineering, finance and leadership teams, and explain everything in plain terms. Where you do have engineering staff, we work closely alongside them.

How does a discovery engagement work?

It starts with a conversation about your operation and objectives. We then agree a defined scope — typically site visits, process analysis and a review of your data — and give you a clear, prioritised view of the opportunities, with outline costs and returns. Scope and fees are agreed up front.

Who supports the system after it goes live?

We do. We can provide maintenance, servicing and support for the whole integrated system, coordinating with individual manufacturers where needed — so you have one partner to call.
